making! This rhythmshop combines rhythmic stretching,
group movement and drumming to enhance fitness,
mood and general wellness. The repetitive nature
of drumming makes it a perfect match for cardiovascular

This rhythmshop explores the percussion
instruments and techniques of a specific world culture.
Along with learning drum and percussion parts to each
rhythm, participants also learn song lyrics, techniques
for improvisation and each rhythm's cultural context.
Current offerings include The Rhythms of the Caribbean,
Middle Eastern Frame Drumming, West African Drumming
and Brazilian Samba Drumming. Global Groove can be
offered as a one time event or a series of recurring
